Authentic wines from the Austerlitz battlefield
We are a small family winery operating in the villages of Hostěrádky-Rešov and Újezd u Brna on the so-called Slavkov battlefield - Austerlitz. Our vineyards complete the character of the landscape on the steep slopes of Stará Hora, where Grüner Veltliner, Neuburger and Chardonnay thrive best. Of the blue varieties, the Cabernet Moravia has the greatest success.
We farm on 2 hectares of agricultural land in the BIO mode. Our goal is to capture the unique character lent from the Austerlitz terroir into the bottle to produce a truly original wine experience. We have been striving for this since 1996.

Our wines
We produce wines in acacia and oak barrels without the use of selected yeasts and other additives. We do not clarify the wines, we filter only some of the white wines, but only with diatomaceous earth and not too strongly. We add only a minimal amount of sulfur. Our wines are, in the best sense of the word, natural and authentic. We have been a member of the wine association Autentista Moravia Magna since 2009. The association pledged to work in vineyards and cellars according to the strict rules of the Authentic Charter.

winegrower and winemaker
I have been involved in winemaking since 1996, initially as a hobby winemaker with a few hundred bushes and several hectoliters of wine. I fell in love with the vine, the work around it and its product - wine, and gradually the hobby became a business in its true form. In 2012, I completed my studies at the Faculty of Horticulture of Mendel University in Lednice and thus received a theoretical education in the field as well.
Everything in our family revolves around the vine, she writes us calendars, she decides whether we are happy or sad - everything obeys her. Yes, it is hard and yes, it is beautiful.

TERROIR AUSTERLITZ
Our vineyards and their surroundings
Our vineyards are located on the land registry of the village of Hostěrádky-Rešov and the town of Újezd u Brna on the Stará hora line. These are very sloping locations oriented from the south to the southwest, whose subsoil is tertiary limestone covered with a thin layer of loess and a very high content of calcium and magnesium. We manage 2 ha of land in the BIO mode, of which 1.3 ha are currently planted with vines. The expression of the local terroir is so strong that our wines are very different from other producers in Moravia. The amount of wine from this area is small and production is very limited.
Our winery and vineyards are located on the famous Slavkov battlefield - Austerlitz. The Mohyla Míru monument in the immediate vicinity of our vineyards, nearby Slavkov with its baroque chateau, the tomb of the Kounic family or the synagogue, as well as the memorable Žuráň hill are all worth seeing. Above our vineyards is the steppe nature reserve Špice with the occurrence of rare plants, especially the Crambe tataria.

How to get here?
You will find us in the middle of the picturesque village of Hostěrádky-Rešov, not far from the town of Újezd u Brna under the Stará hora hill. We are located within driving distance of Brno, you can reach us also by public transport in about 20 minutes. Get to know the real, natural Moravia with us.
